My first memory of Pink Floyd occurred on the track field. It was the late 80s and someone was blasting this album from the stands as we practiced sprints. It was rather strange music to hear in a sports practice context. I remember asking someone, “What is this music?” And they replied, “Floyd. Pink Floyd.”

This album evokes so much creative flow to me and it still gets me immediately into the rhythm of my own mind conquering a solo adventure. It’s exceptional in so many ways sonically. It entirely embodies the theme of the music I’m featuring this week around the idea of awakening. Think albums that stir something previously unexplored in your mind and body.
